💻 Jared Sandwich Bot Exploited for $14M
Jaredfromsubway is a top sandwich bot that front- and back-runs trades across many pools. An attacker exploited it by creating 100+ fake Uniswap V2 pairs with fake wrapped tokens, mimicking real pools but controlled by the attacker.
These fake routes gave Jared small real-token profits after each swap, tricking it into repeatedly back-running the attacker’s fake swaps. Jared had approved real assets like WETH, USDC, and USDT to these fake contracts and never revoked them.
The attacker gained 50 live allowances:16 for WETH, 20 for USDC, and 14 for USDT — then drained 4,759 WETH, 3.58M USDC, and 2.53M USDT, totaling about $14 million.
