🚨 The biggest hack in history: Binance loses $6.3 billion!
Last night, the crypto market was shaken by the largest heist in world history. Hackers withdrew over $6.3 billion from the platform, completely draining the exchange’s hot wallets in just 20 minutes. This incident sets an absolute anti-record, surpassing all previous cyberattacks on financial markets.
The industry was saved from a total collapse only by the lightning-fast reaction of stablecoin issuers. Tether and Circle managed to permanently freeze about $2.7 billion of the stolen funds directly on the hackers’ addresses. The exchange itself temporarily halted withdrawals, promising to fully cover the remaining colossal losses from its SAFU insurance fund
👍 Keep your main capital strictly on cold wallets.
