Epic challenged Apple by implementing direct payments in Fortnite - and got banned. A long legal war followed, with appeals, Apple’s 27% “workaround” commissions, and fierce resistance. But this is the finale: Epic has won. Apple is required to allow external payments within the U.S. Pavel Durov responded on X: "Well fought, TimSweeneyEpic - an epic victory. Thanks to you, the US is now free from Apple’s 30% yoke, which has stifled innovation for 17 years. Now, let’s help liberate the rest of the world. Конфликт начался из-за обвинений в непрозрачном управлении и чрезмерном влиянии Альтмана на стратегические решения компании. Ключевым моментом стало выяснение, что фонд OpenAI Startup Fund принадлежит лично ему, хотя ранее утверждалось, что он контролируется компанией. Технический директор Мира Мурати и соучредитель Илья Суцкевер собрали доказательства того, что Альтман вводил руководство в заблуждение. Например, он заявлял, что GPT-4 Turbo не требует дополнительной проверки безопасности, хотя юристы OpenAI утверждали обратное. Эти факты привели к решению совета об увольнении Альтмана и его союзника, президента OpenAI Грега Брокмана.
