On September 7, we launched Hipo's new Borrower Fee Mechanism. Validators who borrow Hipo's staked GRAM now pay a fee every validation round. That fee is used to buy HPO from the market and burn it. One month in: 🔥 554,654 HPO bought & burned 🔥 111 burn transactions You can verify every transaction on-chain. 📊 One month of performance From September 7 to October 7: - HPO: +82% - BTC: +5% - GRAM: +3% How the mechanism works > Validator pays the fee in GRAM → converted to hGRAM → HPO bought from the market → HPO burned. 🚀 And this is just the beginning. The amount of GRAM staked in Hipo directly affects the size of this mechanism. 💎 More Hipo TVL → more GRAM borrowed by validators → more fees → more HPO bought and burned. At the same time, stakers receive HPO through Hipo's boosted rewards, allowing them to capture value generated by staking in Hipo. So as Hipo grows, both the buy & burn mechanism and the rewards available to stakers can grow with it. More TVL can mean more buy pressure, more HPO burned, and more rewards for stakers.
